Selling

At BKG our specialists are available to discuss the sale of a single object or an entire collection .

The first step in selling action items is either to bring the items to BKG’s Lake Worth location or to call or email for a gallery representative to provide a no-cost, no-obligation evaluation of the marketability of the items. After mutual agreement of the terms of sale, a contract will outline the details of the auction process. All items will either be purchase outright or are consigned and for a fee a written appraisal of the items may be provided, upon request.

All items are accepted weekdays from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Fine jewelry should be delivered directly to the Lake Worth gallery, upon appointment.

Consignment

Depending on the location and scope of the property to be consigned, our experts are happy to provide at no charge a preliminary walk through examination to determine the approximate costs and special needs of each consignment. The customary commission rate is 15%, but this rate may be adjusted depending on specific circumstances. The commission offsets the cost of cataloguing, professional photography, insurance, advertising and moving/storage fees.

Mr. Kodner will personally prepare a customized proposal tailored to the specific property being consigned. There is a fee charged for written proposals. Also, a reserve agreement may be included in the contract setting a minimum price at which an item can be sold; however, most items are offered for sale without a reserve agreement.
